holiday dressing
Cassidy and I hosted Thanksgiving for the first time this year in our new house. It took a lot of planning, cleaning, and preparation, but it was such a wonderful time, and we both would absolutely do it all over again. It was incredibly special to have my entire family under one roof, our roof, and get to make memories in our new house. Cassidy also successfully cooked not one, but two turkeys, as you might have seen if you were following along on my Insta stories. He cooked one traditionally in the oven, but his "just for kicks" attempt at smoking one on the grill was quite the hit. I think he may have found his place in the family food preparation, not that any of us were concerned that would be an issue.
We also got to watch my dad's football game altogether and see another playoff win! All in all, it has been an incredibly fantastic weekend, and I'm not quite ready to head back to reality. The crazy part is this is just a kickoff to an incredibly busy month ahead of us!

I felt like this evening look from our New York trip would be the perfect kick off for holiday dressing. I was obsessed with this dress as soon as I saw it. The dramatic sleeves are right on trend, and the high neck and shift silhouette are not only flattering, but paired with the print give a notable nod to the 60s. The neckline detailing really elevates the piece.
Keeping in tune with the feminine vibes, I added a Victorian inspired boot and a pink velvet clutch. Velvet is also a top trend for the holiday season, and added the perfect texture. I am obsessed with these statement fringe earrings and the wine color seems to complement everything, so be prepared to see more of these!
I hope everyone enjoyed their holiday! xo
