a coat of spring
While there are currently several inches of fluffy white snow coating the Indianapolis area this weekend, I thought I would share a different (and more enjoyable*) kind of coat the last week of March.
It's so challenging to dress for spring when all you want to wear are all the warm bright floral prints now, but unfortunately for those of us located in the north, we have to layer up to maintain all of our extremities. Enter my obsession with this coat I bought for our New York excursion a couple weeks ago.
First of all, PSA: the best time to buy coats is at the end of the season, after Christmas, when all of the winter apparel is going on sale. Second, looking for spring colors will help transition seamlessly while still maintaining the necessary layer of warmth. I have included a few of my favorite options below in case we still have another storm ahead of us, or temperatures below 65 degrees... Because let's be honest, this is what we're dealing with.
*Full disclosure: Although I am not necessarily enthusiastic about having snow over sunny warm weather, I have actually kind of been looking forward to this storm because it means a day inside with the fire running, snuggling with my puppy, and savoring some quality time with my hubby while we have a Netflix marathon. This is why I have a cute coats, ok?
**Also PSA sneak peek as I'm working on my NYC travel guides: Joe & The Juice has killer coffee. And cute cups. Next time I definitely want to try a juice!
