gal meets glam: a berry to remember
Shades of berries and reds topped my priority list for fall colors this year, but I love the twirl factor of this dress. The material is luxurious, and honestly I don’t know if I have ever owned a red dress before, although I felt super glam (no pun intended) gallivanting around SoHo shops in this feminine frock.
It’s no secret I’m a sucker for the Gal Meets Glam Collection, and deciding on which dress to bring to fashion week was certainly no simple feat. The August dresses really started to bring the transition to the season, and the September dresses that arrived may be my favorite line yet, with the October collection coming this week. It’s getting more challenging to narrow down which piece to grab. I’m loving this beautiful print, this floral, and this plaid. I feel like I say each launch is my favorite, but they just keep getting better and better! It doesn’t hurt that fall is the best, but these dresses have me giving all the heart eyes.
Julia also designed her first jackets (hello Jackie O, love this color) and separates (and petites!) with this September Collection. I’m obsessed with this tweed number, and would love to pair the topper. It’s an investment, no doubt, but as a classic silhouette and fabric, it will last from year to year.
SoHo is one of my favorite areas of the city, with its cast iron architecture and cobblestone streets. Each neighborhood in New York contains its own charm on every corner and street, and as much as I have explored different areas and contemplated each place I would live, this trip made me rank SoHo high on the list. Obviously, the fashion and shops are top of the line, but I enjoy in the evening, once the stores all close, it gets a little quiet, with a lingering soft magical allure. I also adore NoLita, which seems to have all my favorite eateries, so naturally a ritzy residence in SoHo would be wildly convenient.
Some day…
